When you can use this service

Check that the transaction meets these conditions before you begin.

This applies to

  • Sales of used vehicles between private individuals that require a change of ownership with the DGT.[1]

  • Transactions in which the buyer must provide evidence of the applicable tax treatment before ownership changes.[1][3]

This does not apply to

  • Vehicles with a retention-of-title entry that has not yet been cancelled or authorized for transfer.[1]
